Opportunities in the Banking sector

Thanks to being an emerging economy in the world, Indian banking sector offers great and challenging career opportunities for aspiring youth. In the coming years, more bankers are required to sustain economic growth.
Today, the most sought after career choice for Indian graduates is banking sector. It is a career choice that provides them with enormous opportunities. Bank jobs are here to stay because under the Government of India’s policy of Economic Development and Financial Inclusion, an effort to take banking to remotest places in India, banks are opening new branches in all parts of the country covering cities, towns and villages. As a result, huge requirement for manpower has been created in this sector. A government bank job is considered to be a socially respectable and secure job. So, looking at the opportunities and the quality of the job, thousands of youth are looking forward to get a job in the banking sector.
Graduates can get recruited in Banks as a Clerk, Probationary Office (PO), Specialist Officer (SO) or at Managers or higher grades, though these posts are filled through promotions or only experienced candidates are eligible for applications.

IBPS SO

The IBPS SO exam will take place in 3 stages from this year – Prelims, Mains and Interview. The IBPS SO Main exam will include only questions from Professional Knowledge. The marks obtained in the Preliminary exam will not be considered for preparing the final merit list and the marks obtained in the Main Examination will only be considered for shortlisting for the interview.
